BUELLTON, Calif. — October 31, 2026. Buellton residents planning to clear out unwanted household chemicals and other potentially hazardous materials have a local collection date to put on their calendars.
The City of Buellton’s October 21 public update lists its next Quarterly Household Hazardous Waste Round-up for Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The location is 79 Industrial Way, Buellton.
Why separate disposal matters
Some household products should not be placed in regular trash or poured into a household drain. Improper disposal can affect sanitation workers, waterways, equipment and the wider community. Special collection opportunities give residents a way to ask how those products should be handled.
The city’s short calendar notice does not list which products are accepted, whether any quantity or residency restrictions apply, or whether an appointment is required. Residents should therefore confirm those details with the city or the responsible collection program before loading a vehicle. That is especially important for businesses and for items such as batteries, electronics, automotive fluids and paint, which may be handled under different rules.
Plan your trip
Keep items in their original labeled containers when possible, avoid mixing unknown substances, and transport materials upright and secured. Do not leave waste outside a facility or attempt to drop off products after event hours.
The event is one part of the city’s wider fall calendar, which also includes community activities on November 7. Residents should allow extra travel time and check for any last-minute operating changes.
